Qualifications Education and Experience:
  • Master’s Degree in School Psychology;
  • Valid MIchigan licensure, must be licensed with a School Psychologist certification; Essential functions of the job: Identify and assess the learning, development and adjustment characteristics and needs of individuals and groups, as well as, the environmental factors that affect learning and adjustment. Use assessment data regarding student and his/her environment(s) in developing appropriate interventions and programs Provide intervention to students to support the teaching process and to maximize learning and adjustment Provide consultation to parents, teachers, other school personnel and community agencies to enhance the learning and adjustment of student Assist in the planning, development and evaluation of programs to meet identified learning and adjustments needs Deliver a planned and coordinated program of psychological implementation Apply ethics and standards of professional practice in the delivery of school psychological services and observe relevant laws and policies the govern practice. Participate in professional organizations and continually seek to improve professional knowledge and skill. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff Regular and reliable in person attendance. Ability to:
  • Independently organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignment;
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills and establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective working relationships;
  • Ability to create reports and analyze data; Environmental Elements Incumbents typically work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. Incumbents will interact with individuals in interpreting and enforcing rules, policies, and procedures. Working Conditions Incumbents may be assigned an on-call and irregular work schedule, including weekends, early mornings, and evenings.
