Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Collecting information from parents and staff for enrollment
Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, or optical scanners
Maintaining and updating the database system as necessary
Type in data provided directly from parents and other staff members
Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes
Verify data by comparing it to source documents
Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
Answer phone in a professional manner and forward as necessary.
Respond to telephone inquiries regarding school programs and activities.
Perform variety of clerical duties such as typing, photocopying, making phone calls, creating documents, and data entry.
Meet and greet visitors following building security procedures.
Assist ill students, and contact parents.
Assist the Principal and secretarial staff in effective operation of school office and maintain school order.
Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts; ability to compute percentages and to interpret graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
